The secret to making the best white chocolate cocoa drinks is to cook it very slowly and gently in a double boiler. Since white chocolate is very delicate, be sure to cut it up into evenly sized pieces so that it melts evenly. If you are ordering the chips, you are good to go since they are already the perfect size for melting.
Serves 2 | Double or triple for a crowd
2 cups of whole fat milk
2 oz of the best white chocolate
1/4 tsp of pure vanilla bean paste
Heat the milk in a double boiler until hot. Add in the white chocolate and stir until melted. Add in the vanilla bean paste and stir all together until the paste is melted in. If you don't have a double boiler, I found some really great ones here on Amazon.
For garnishes, whip up some fresh whipped cream and then use a chocolate shaver to make elegant chocolate shavings for the top. You can also make pretty chocolate filigrees by drawing your desired shape onto wax paper, letting it cool and then adding it to the top like we did. We are getting fancy here!
