In Shawna's Craft Bag

Hi there! Since I've been in the arts and crafts industry for so long (Almost 20 years!) I've had a chance to work with some wonderful brands and companies over the years. Lucky for me, I get to try all kinds of crafting, home & garden, and DIY supplies for the product reviews and tutorials that we do here at DIY Craft Club. I definitely have my favorites and I would like to share them with you! These are products that I use often for tutorials and in my home.

Here are my favorite craft room must haves

1. Scribbles That Matter B5 Bullet Planner

This is my favorite planner. When Scribbles That Matter came out with a large B5 planner, it knew it had to have it! I have a TON of planning notes for DIY's and tutorials so this is a life saver. If you would like to take a look at the review on this, check it out here.

2. Pilot Frixion Markers

Another planner supply favorite. These markers are great in planners because they erase easily with friction. This set is used often to doodle and draw with and I have found them very pleasurable to use. We did a full review on these markers here.

3. Zap Heat Gun

This heat gun and I have been through a lot! I purchased this one a few years ago here on Amazon and just love it. And of course, it's pink! If anyone knows me, they will know that I LOVE pink anything. So this heat gun is my bff in the craft room.

4. Leafing Pens

Leafing pens are a craft room staple because they just add an extra special touch to any project. These Krylon pens will write on anything (even leaves!) and I reach for them often. We did a full unboxing and review on the gold leafing pen so if you would like a closer look at what these can do, visit the post here.

5. This Glitter Polish

Whenever there's a need for extra glitter and shimmer, I go through my nail polish stash. I have a TON (Perhaps I'll show you a nail polish haul video one day!) and glittery polishes are just perfect for crafts, and especially for cardmaking. A favorite way of adding glitter with nail polish is with dotting tools or a makeup sponge. If you subscribe to our YouTube channel, we will have tutorials coming up on how you can use polish in crafts.

Serta Chair (wishlist item!)

This is such a splurge and I've had my eye on it for a LONG time. This pink chair! Oooh! It would go so well in a craft room with a pink theme! My craft room is full of lovely things. It's pink, happy and bright in here. Since I spend sometimes up to 12 hours more in here at a time, it absolutely needs to be a comforting place. So maybe one day this will be mine, but for now, I'll just enjoy the pretty picture. Swoon, sigh.

And here are my five favorites from the kitchen

1. Classic KitchenAid Mixer

So I'll tell you a little secret. I've had my classic KitchenAid mixer for almost 25 years and it's still going strong! So many hours of baking, cooking (and bath bomb making) have been put on my machine and it still amazing. This is my favorite of all kitchen tools.

PS - If you would like to see our latest bath bomb supply list, check it out here.

2. This Kitchen Scale

Every kitchen and craft room needs a scale, and this one is so cute! This is a wishlist item because I don't have it yet. But when I do, I'll be sure to share the review with you all!

3.Nutri Ninja

I purchased a Nutri Ninja just before Christmas because I wanted to start a healthy eating plan. So now I can make all kinds of smoothies and high energy drinks. We will be sure to post some great recipes and video tutorials with this machine! It's really working out great and is way more powerful than I thought it would be! Check the price here on Amazon.

4.This Milk Frother

Just because I LOVE to make London Fogs and the froth is so dreamy!

5. KitchenAid Pink Hand Mixer

A hand mixer is a kitchen must have because it's perfect for those times when you just want to mix something really quickly and easily. And, no surprise that this is pink. :)

Cora! Thank you!! Will have to check out the Pampered Chef whisk. My favorite frother is the Homitt because it’s about mid-ranged priced and it makes such creamy froth! I love it for hot cocoa and also London fogs. ♥

Glitter nail polish – that’s brilliant!! I’ll definitely be adopting that tip ;) One of my kitchen must-have’s is a Pampered Chef whisk/masher I got as a gift a few years ago – it’s flexible and works with every type of pot and dish I’ve tried it on so far. And a french press coffee maker…mmmm. What is your favourite brand of frother?
