It's the special touches that make a difference to your customers. It's easy to get caught up in learning about new ways on how to grow your craft businesses that you might forget about the little things. The important things.
Including a handwritten thank you note makes customers feel special. Those are feelings you want your customers to have every single time they visit your shop. If you don't, they will go elsewhere.
Try to hand write a note whenever possible. If your small business is already sending out hundreds of orders a week you may not be able to hand write a thank you note for every single order but you should be sure to include a card or stamped note.
The important thing here is that you actually include something that says the words thank you. The nice thing is that you can do this right away with your very next order! Just be sure that the note matches the personality of your brand and you are good to go.
The above picture shows a simple thank you design that we created from our own coffee stained paper and a cute thank you stamp. You can make a ton of these in no time at all to keep on hand. This really shows an extra special touch. These small notes are perfect for tucking into a box or you can glue, tie or tape it directly to the outer packaging on your product. Don't forget to stamp thank you notes with your logo too for a professional look.
Here's a free printable of the above note for you to use. Your note should be personal, so whenever you can use your customer's name on there.
These thank you notes were made with extra bits of scrapbooking paper that we had in our scrap box and washi tape. Look how great they turned out and these are made with just scraps! It's a good idea to try to use what you have on hand to help save money for your business. Every penny you save can be invested in extra marketing to help keep those orders rolling in. Be creative just like your business!
Ps - A word about washi tape. Washi tape doesn't stick like regular tape so you might want to put a strip of clear tape slightly larger than the washi to prevent it from peeling off.
If you don't have time to make your own, then these packs of notecards are a good option.
Now that you have really great ideas on how to make your own thank you cards, here are some suggestions on what to write to your customers. Change them up and include your own words.
